The Mountain Music Ambassadors are comprised of students studying Traditional Music at The Kentucky Center for Traditional Music. While in the band, students gain real-world professional experience through outreach performances, studio recording and other educational opportunities.
In collaboration with the Petöfi Agency (HU), the KCTM has hosted two groups of Hungarian students interested in studying American traditional music. These exchanges offer insight into world culture and foster a sense of collaboration and camaraderie.
In March, the Ambassadors traveledl to Hungary to represent Morehead State University, Kentucky and the United States, by sharing traditional American traditional music with a Hungarian flare! The group presented concerts and workshops across the country during their visit.
